Permanent Lip Implants

The Procedure

  • Outpatient procedure performed under local anesthetic in our AAAHC accredited surgery center.
  • Tiny incisions are made on the inside corners of the lip, and a synthetic lip implant is inserted.
  • Procedure takes about thirty minutes.

The Recovery

  • You can resume most work and normal activities a few days after your procedure.
  • Pain is minimal and easily controlled with medication, and is mostly gone by the second or third day after your procedure.
  • Swelling is mild to moderate, peaking at two days and then fades rapidly over the next three weeks.
  • Minimal to no bruising.
  • Sutures are removed around six days.
